Bacton in Kellys 1879 Directory.
Bacton is a parish and considerabl and well built village in the Western division of the county, Hartismere Hundred; 87 miles from London and 6 north of Stowmarket. Finningham railway station is in this parish 1 mile from the village.
The church of St Mary is a noble edifice of stone. The register dates from 1558.
Bacton Green and Earls Green lie to the south.
